Your natural hair and your extension lengths may need different products. I will help you keep the routine practical.
01 / YOUR ROUTINE
Brush with support.
Brush morning and night, and before washing.
Use your Sorelle of Hair Visie Brush or the brush I prescribe. Separate the hair into manageable sections.
Support the attachment area with your free hand so brushing does not pull on the beads or thread. Start at the ends and work upwards gently.
Brush between the rows carefully to prevent shed natural hairs from tangling at the base. Never pick at beads, cut thread or try to tighten the installation yourself.
Detangle first. Keep your head upright in the shower and thoroughly wet the scalp, rows and lengths.
Work your prescribed shampoo into the scalp between the rows with your fingertips. Let the lather travel down the lengths. Do not scrub, bunch or twist the extension hair.
Lift and rinse each row thoroughly. Repeat the shampoo when your scalp or product build-up calls for it.
Apply conditioner and masks through the mid-lengths and ends, away from beads and the weft seam. Rinse completely and blot with a soft towel.
Wash according to your scalp and routine. Repeated layers of dry shampoo do not replace cleansing. Follow the waiting period I give you after installation.
03 / YOUR ROUTINE
Dry every row completely.
Drying the lengths is not the same as drying the installation.
Apply your prescribed heat protectant to the mid-lengths and ends. Lift each row and dry the scalp and attachment area with moving airflow on a warm or cool setting.
Check underneath the lower rows and at the back of your head. These areas are easily left damp. The installation should not be left to air dry.
Once the rows are dry, work through the lengths in sections. Keep hot tools away from beads, thread and the seam.
Use the lowest effective styling temperature and the settings I recommend for your natural hair and extensions. Avoid repeated passes over the same section.
04 / YOUR ROUTINE
Make the everyday habits count.
Less friction. Less pulling. No damp rows at bedtime.
Brush before bed and make sure the scalp, rows and lengths are fully dry. Secure the lengths in a loose braid or soft low ponytail.
Use a silk or satin pillowcase if you wish, but it does not replace brushing and drying. Avoid tight top knots and styles that pull heavily on the rows.
After exercise, release your hair and check the rows for dampness. Dry them, and cleanse when sweat, salt or oil requires it.
Move hair out from under bag straps, seatbelts and rough collars. Change the position of tied styles rather than repeatedly pulling on the same area.
05 / YOUR ROUTINE
Plan for sun, pools and salt.
Tell me about your travel plans before you leave.
Keep sunscreen off extension lengths where possible. Secure hair away from freshly treated shoulders and wash sunscreen from your hands before touching your hair.
Some sunscreen formulas can contribute to pink, peach or orange staining, particularly on blonde extension hair. Ask me to check the exact product you intend to use, as formulas can change. Continue using appropriate sun protection for your skin.
Before swimming, detangle and wet the lengths with fresh water. Use a loose braid and any length-care product I prescribe, keeping it away from the rows.
Rinse after swimming. Shampoo when practical, condition the lengths and dry every row completely. Frequent swimming may need an adjusted care and maintenance plan.
06 / YOUR ROUTINE
Keep your maintenance on time.
Most clients return every 6–8 weeks. Your interval is individual.
Book at the interval I set for you. Growth changes how the installation sits, and delaying maintenance can make tangling and pulling harder to manage.
Tell me about slipping, matting, exposed beads or a row that feels loose. Contact me promptly for pain, persistent pulling, redness or sores.
Do not attempt repairs at home. If symptoms are severe or your scalp appears infected, seek appropriate medical advice as well as contacting me.
A ROUTINE CHOSEN FOR YOU
Know what your hair needs.
From daily cleansing to richer conditioning, each recommendation has a purpose. I’ll help you choose the products that belong in your routine and explain how to use them around your installation.
A useful routine is specific to your hair. I select from these brands according to your natural hair, extension texture, colour, density and styling habits. You do not need every product listed.
Selection by me does not mean every product in a brand is suitable for every installation. Conditioners, masks, oils and leave-ins belong through the lengths, away from the attachment area unless I direct you otherwise.
Iles Formula
My signature home-care option. A straightforward cleansing, conditioning and finishing routine, with richer care added only when needed.
Extension Pack
Shampoo, conditioner, Finishing Serum, Curl Revive and a distribution comb. I help you choose which finishing product suits each part of your hair.
Purple shampoo, clarifying products, scalp treatments and intensive repair systems need individual advice. Extension hair may absorb pigment differently, and a product suited to your scalp may not be right for the lengths.
Product information can change. Follow your personal prescription and the instructions on your current pack. Ask me to review your routine at maintenance.
